Worshipping

Worshipping

  • We love God because He first loved us (1 John 4:19) . And we love to tell God that we love Him.
  • Joyful and faithful (acceptable, spiritual worship governed by God’s Word. Deuteronomy 12:32 (NB the context is worship), Hebrews 12:28–29) worship together twice each Lord’s Day is the highlight of our week. We are glad they said, “Let us go to the House of the Lord.” Psalm 122:1
  • Corporate worship prepares us for the week and prepares us for Heaven.
  • In addition, we regularly worship God as families and as individuals. (see below →)

Worshipping Together

  • Although we do have private worship, worship is for the most part a corporate activity.
  • So, when we come to worship we greet one another in love (1 Thessalonians 5:26). When we sing in worship we “speak to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs.” Ephesians 5:19 When we pray in worship we all pray – even if only one is leading.
  • And we come together to the word of God preached → so we might grow together in Christ (Ephesians 4:11-16).
  • And when we leave, we leave to walk together →.
